Our Marcel Weiß-trained cracks ALLENO and LORDANO made their annual debut today in the €70,000 G2 Sauren Dachfonds Preis over 2,400 metres at Cologne and achieved an optimal result - handing us a really nice Easter present.
Fourth in last year's IDEE 155th German Derby, ALLENO, who is by Nathaniel out of ALANDIA, ran a great race and finished impressively under Sibylle Vogt to win by two and a half lengths to book his first Group win. Top stayer LORDANO (Adlerflug - Labrice) finished second under Rene Piechulek, which is a great result considering the ground was not ideal for him.
