Following two recent second places, Ittlingen-bred First Figaro today recorded an easy victory at Galeway racetrack in Ireland. Turning expert for long distances, the five-year-old son of Silvano took a €12,000 11-furlongs race for owners Bellamy Syndicate and Curragh-based trainer D. K. Weld. Fred Maguire was in the saddle. First Figaro (photo as a yearling) is out of the Listed-winner Felina by Acatenango, who is the dam of such reputed Ittlingen horses as Fredo, Fashion and group winner Felicity.
